I tried to play Everquest II on Windows Vista on x64 with ATi Drivers and the lag was just horrible, I don't have any lag at all in XP.
Is it that Direct X 10 was not finished? (was maybe 2 months ago I tried Vista but changed back to XP due to the horrible lag)
Anyone know why it lag that much for me? I don't get this message in Vista like I do in XP.
Application ran out of memory when requesting x bytes. Very known bug that SOE can't fix in EQ2 (Memory Leaks)

Direct X 10?

Windows Vista is a good 5 months away from being finished, as is everyone's drivers.

I have similar lag, and similar comfiguration
Windows Vista (but x84 (32bit)) with ATi Drivers, but not play EverQuest II, i don't know that this is the same, but i found that my lag is causing by svchost.exe (seems some services), it can be save terminated, when i localize what service is causing my lag i will turn it off. -------------------------------

Yes, I too see that Direct X 10 have some problems with games and programs, or programs have problems with Direct X, but this is BETA and i understand that. -------------------------------
